For those who have followed the Duracell Energy journey from the beginning, starting with our launch at the Everything Electric Show London in April 2024, you may already know that we originally provided solar and battery solutions under the name Puredrive Energy.

While we continue to support existing Puredrive customers, our focus has shifted exclusively to providing new solar and battery storage solutions under the Duracell Energy brand. This evolution stems from 2023 when Duracell approached us to manufacture, market and distribute Duracell energy products for the UK, Benelux, and South Africa residential and commercial markets. Since then, we’ve helped homeowners and businesses maximise energy savings with cutting-edge storage solutions.

Although we are exclusively moving forward with Duracell Energy products, Puredrive customers can be rest assured that our UK-based support team remains available for any queries about your existing systems. Stay connected via Duracell Energy’s social media platforms for the latest updates, and we’ll continue to provide essential information through Puredrive’s channels where needed.

Puredrive Energy A British Manufacturer Driven by Innovation

Puredrive Energy has always been rooted in innovation and a vision for a cleaner, smarter energy future. Our journey began with CEO Mark Millar, a pioneer in the home battery industry with over 30 years of experience. In 2015, Mark designed, engineered, and installed the UK’s first-ever home battery system in his own home – a defining moment that laid the foundation for what was to come.

Fast forward to 2016, Mark founded Puredrive Energy with a team of just four employees, driven by a mission to deliver high-quality, reliable home energy storage solutions. Since then, we’ve grown into one of the industry’s leading manufacturers, expanding to a team of 80 and delivering world-class home and commercial energy solutions across the UK, Europe, and Africa.

Innovation Meets Quality - The Launch of Duracell Energy

Today, our technology powers homes, businesses, and ambitious renewable projects across the UK. A key milestone in our journey was being approached by Duracell and awarded a brand licensing agreement to manufacture, market, and distribute Duracell-branded products under a brand licensing agreement, combining our expertise in home energy storage with their globally trusted reputation for reliability, quality, and innovation.

After a rigorous approval process to meet Duracell’s exacting standards Puredrive were named an official Duracell licensee. We officially launched the Duracell Energy suite of home battery storage systems at the Everything Electric Show in April 2024.

The Duracell Energy Ecosystem builds on the proven quality of Puredrive Energy solutions, enhanced by the confidence and credibility of the Duracell brand. This allows us to reach more homeowners, offer greater trust in energy storage solutions, and accelerate the shift toward sustainable living.

2025 And Beyond

We believe in the power of collaboration. Over the past year, we have built strategic partnerships with leading brands in the renewable energy space, including the Fully Charged Show. This partnership has been instrumental in our first year since launch, featuring our technology in numerous YouTube videos, including a podcast with Puredrive CEO Mark Millar hosted by Robert Llewellyn.

In early 2025, we expanded this collaboration into a full media partnership with Fully Charged, aimed at educating and inspiring homeowners on how to reduce energy bills and live more sustainably. This ground breaking initiative marks Fully Charged’s first-ever regular collaboration, bringing together two organisations united by a shared mission: to empower homeowners with the knowledge and tools to take control of their energy consumption.

From pioneering the UK’s first home battery in 2015 to leading the charge in 2025 and beyond, our journey has been one of relentless innovation and growth.
