How long does it take to charge your EV using the DuraCharger?
That would depend on a number of factors. The main variable being the size of your car’s battery. For example an EV with a 60kWh battery typically takes just under 8 hours to charge from empty-to-full with the DuraCharger. The ideal charging time to fully replenish your EV battery while you’re sleeping. A smaller battery will take less time to fully charge.
8 hours may seem a long time, however compared to a standard 3-pin plug charge, this may take 20 hours+, making the DuraCharger a smart investment for those who need to use their EV on a regular occurrence.
Most EV drivers typically don’t charge their battery to full every night, instead opting for a top up charge to close to 80%.
During the winter months, the colder temperatures can also slightly increase charging times. Preconditioning the battery by warming it up before initiating the charge can help with charging efficiency in colder weather.
