Introducing home battery storage

You can save significantly on your energy bills with a home battery storage system – no solar panels required. Duracell Energy’s cutting-edge Lithium Iron Phosphate battery technology integrates seamlessly with your dynamic tariff to store low-cost off-peak electricity from the grid for use later during peak demand times, saving you money as well as using greener generated electricity.

Enjoy less up front cost with the UK’s best home battery storage solutions that immediately reduces your energy bills even if your property is not suitable for a solar set up.

A home battery storage system can also protect you against volatile energy prices, shielding you from future energy price hikes.

Future-proof your home with the Duracell Energy system, which is designed to be solar and EV ready, giving you the option to add further energy solutions to your home as your needs change.

Manage your system all with a click of a button with our smart app. Your home battery storage will sync with the app and automatically take energy from the grid when the price is low. This powers your home during peak times when the price would’ve been higher, saving you money.

Your standalone battery system is capable of charging via the grid when prices are lowest, meaning you pay less for the energy powering your home. The battery capacity required would depend on a few factors, including the amount of energy you consume and usage peaks, but it is possible to store enough energy to power your home 24 hours a day.

Duracell Energy’s home batteries are made using Lithium Iron Phosphate, the safest battery chemistry in home energy storage systems, which stores energy by converting electrical energy into chemical energy. When energy is drawn from the grid (typically in the form of alternating current, or AC), an inverter converts it to direct current (DC) for storage in the battery. Lithium ions move from the cathode to the anode inside the battery, storing the energy. When your home needs power, lithium ions flow back to the cathode, releasing the stored energy as electrons flow through the external circuit. Because home appliances run on alternating current (AC), an inverter converts the DC energy stored in the battery back to AC, ensuring your appliances can use the stored power.

Absolutely! If you choose a standalone battery system, you can always add solar panels later. In fact, pairing your battery with solar panels is one of the best ways to maximise your savings and increase energy independence. The battery stores any excess energy your solar panels produce, so instead of drawing power from the grid, you can use that free, renewable energy when the sun isn’t shining—like at night or during peak grid hours. Plus, adding solar panels when you are ready helps reduce your reliance on the grid even further, lowering your energy bills and your carbon footprint over time. It's a smart futureproofing move!
