Duracell Energy are regional partners of AFC Bournemouth, who compete in English Football’s top flight, the Premier League.
Formed in 1899 as Boscombe, the club adopted their current name in 1971. Nicknamed "The Cherries", and commonly referred to as Bournemouth, they play their home games at Vitality Stadium. In 2008 Bournemouth were relegated into League Two. Three promotions in six years saw The Cherries promoted to the Premier League in 2015.
Due to its sunnier climate, Bournemouth is one of the UK’s most solar-proficient areas, which presented a perfect opportunity to collaborate with a top flight football club. The partnership allows a national platform for Duracell Energy to raise awareness of the benefits of solar panels and battery storage.
